The team at Fairview Drive Pet Hospital would like to thank all of our clients for their patience during the Covid-19 outbreak.
We are providing an update for everyone with our new protocols that have been put in place. These changes are effective immediately and have been put in place to help keep our staff and clients safe while continuing to provide the same high quality care for your pets.
We will be practicing a no contact protocol: meaning our doors will be locked. If you are coming for an appointment or to pick up food/prescriptions, please call the clinic at 519-753-7257 to let us know you have arrived, or knock on our front door and a staff member will come out to assist you.
We ask that if you have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days, or are feeling unwell in anyway to please avoid coming to the clinic. We suggest having a friend or family member come instead. In the event you cannot arrange to have a friend or family member bring your pet to an appointment please call us at the clinic for other options. A telemedicine consult may be an option.
APPOINTMENT PROTOCOL: When you arrive for your appointment, please pull up to the front of the building and stay in your vehicle. Call the clinic to notify us that you have arrived, and one of our staff members will meet you at your vehicle to escort your pet into the clinic. For dogs: we will be using our own leashes, therefore we will be asking you to remove yours. We will ask you provide a cell phone # that you can be reached at in the parking lot for the Doctor to speak with you. They will obtain a medical history and address any concerns that you have regarding your pet. The doctor will then perform a thorough physical examination and call you back to discuss any findings or recommendations. We will then process payment via credit card over the phone, or arrange an e-transfer. If this is not possible, we will discuss other options. Once the appointment is complete, one of our staff members will return your pet to your vehicle at the front of the building and provide you with your paperwork and any needed medications.
FOOD/PRESCRIPTIONS: Please call ahead to allow us time to prepare any prescriptions or to see if your pets' food is in stock. At this time, our supplier is prioritizing medication shipments, therefore it may take up to 5 days to receive more food. With this being said, we have decided to set a limit of 1 bag or ½ case per client to allow everyone to get their pets diet. Please ask us about our online webstore – you could have your pet's food shipped directly to your home with free shipping on orders over $50.00!
We are currently open for regular business hours – EXCEPT – We will be closed this Saturday Mar 21 and Saturday Mar 28 to help limit exposure. We will keep you updated with any changes as this situation is evolving everyday.
